Because I’m going to be busy *ahem* today… I thought I’d leave you with some tantalising pictures for the weekend…
I must admit that I haven’t been to Nobu since October last year.. and I’ve only been there 3 times (Twice in the restaurant and once upstairs in their bistro/bar)… but each of those times, I’ve loved it and it’s become one of my favourite places…. (the moolah on the other hand won’t agree with me!)
I swear I had more pictures taken… but I can’t find any from the last visit. The price for the dishes have also GONE UP, and sadly, I can’t find the dessert menu for what we had…
But enjoy!!
ENTREES…
Scallop Tiradito
Spicy Miso Chips with Tuna and Scallop
Salmon Skin salad (which seems to have dissapeared from the menu, but was one of the best salmon skins I’ve had)
Southern Rock Lobster Salad with Spicy Lemon Dressing
MAINS…
SIGNATURE DISH
Black Cod with Miso.. absolutely divine!!! A MUST try 🙂
Price has gone up as well.. when I first had it, it was $37, and now it’s $42
Snow Crab with Creamy Spicy Sauce
(this is also gone from the menu, which probably means it’s a seasonal dish)
Soft Shell Crab Kara Age (with lemon sauce and salt)… this was so-so…
Wagyu Marble 9t (Min Order 100g) –> Very expensive!!
This was Rib Eye Wagyu serve with Mushrooms and a trio of sauce (the Boy said that 1 of them tasted similar to a satay sauce thing)
Close up shot of the Wagyu & Mushrooms
The 2nd time we came, the Boy ordered Wagyu but asked for a different style… (Unfortunately I can’t remember what this is, but he did say he prefered the other style)
DESSERTS….
I can’t find the Dessert menu and the Boy reckons that you only see the real menu when you are there… Hmmm…
I have to say, their desserts are THE BEST… and I would go again and again, just for their desserts.
This was…
Chocolate Springrolls with Harumaki Leaf served with Passionfruit (sauce) and Coconot Sorbet
Nobu Menu Ny
This looks like a chocolate trifle of some kind, and for the life of me I can’t remember what it was and I can’t seem to see it on their menu…
Goma Trio
White sesame panacotta, black sesame sauce, a sesame sugar dome and sake jelly with pineapple sorbet
Nobu Menu Miami
Overall Food Rating: 9/10
Restaurant ambiance: 7.5/10 (it tends to get a bit noisy, due to the family style arrangement)
Bistro/Bar ambiance: 7/10 (the service upstairs, [for people who don’t book and just stroll in and who do not mind not sitting in the official dining area get to sit here] wasn’t very efficient, due to only 2-3 people servicing)
Value for money: 8/10
